On 22 October 2025, Dr. Vanthana Nolintha, Director General of the Investment Promotion and Management Committee Office (IPMC), warmly welcomed H.E Matt Western, Member of Parliament for Warwick and Leamington and Trade Envoy of the UK Prime Minister to Lao PDR, along with his delegation.
The meeting served as a platform for both sides to exchange views on the recent progress of investment development in Lao PDR. The UK delegation expressed strong interest in enhancing bilateral investment cooperation and supporting Lao PDR’s efforts to attract quality investment from the UK and Europe.
Discussions also focused on future collaboration, including the development of systematic investment promotion mechanisms to help Lao PDR showcase its potential and competitiveness more effectively on the international stage.
