H.E. Mme. Phonevanh Outhavong, Vice Minister, Vice President of the Investment Promotion and Management Committee (IPMC), welcomed Ms. Dagmar Zwebe, Country Representative of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and her delegation to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation on sustainable and green investment in Lao PDR.
The discussion focused on priority areas including green finance, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, climate-resilient infrastructure, and the development of investment-ready projects, in line with the Investment Promotion Law 2024 and the 10th National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2026–2030).
IPMC shared its priorities in improving the investment climate, enhancing investor services, and promoting quality investment that supports sustainable economic growth. Both sides also explored opportunities to leverage GGGI’s expertise in green growth and sustainable finance to attract investment into priority sectors.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of IPMC and GGGI to deepen cooperation and advance Lao PDR’s green growth and sustainable development objectives.
