The Investment Promotion and Management Committee Office (IPO), in collaboration with ESCAP under the LIFT4LAOS Project, organized an investor networking event on the mining sector. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Vanthana Nolintha, Standing Committee member, Permanent Scretary, and attended by representatives from domestic and international mining companies.
The meeting provided a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors and for exchanging views on investment-related issues. Participants received information on investment promotion policies and procedures, requirements for the import and export of mineral samples for research and technology testing, and procedures for obtaining mining concessions in Lao PDR.
The consultation contributed to strengthening public-private dialogue and improving investors’s understanding of relevant procedures and requirements in Lao PDR’s mining sector.
