On 3 December 2025, at the ICTC Convention Hall in Vientiane Capital, the Investment Promotion and Management Committee Office, together with the Foreign Investment Agency of Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation to promote investment between Laos and Vietnam.
This signing represents a renewal of the document previously signed in 2024, aimed at further enhancing cooperation between the two parties, aligning with their mandates following organizational restructuring, and establishing a foundation for future cooperation.
The key areas of cooperation include:
- Technical capacity building in various areas, such as establishing an investment callings list, facilitating services, and resolving difficulties for investors, among other tasks.
- Continuing to jointly organize regular Laos–Vietnam investment promotion conference.
Exchanging investment information between the two countries to support monitoring and implementation of investment activities in accordance with government-concession agreements.
